Why does my Skype keep ringing on my phone when I answer it on my computer?

I have the Motorola Milestone X and Android 2.3.5. When I get home I sometimes forget to go to offline on my phone, and so when a friend calls me it'll ring on my phone, and I will answer it on my computer, but my phone keeps ringing. Even after I sign out of skype. Any suggestions?

This and ALL my friends hate about skype. Also, why does it need to make the phone beep and vibrate all the time when logged in together. There should be an option to silence the notifications in skype. 

Not to mention one of the worst things, old messages from a conversation load up into the phone as unread messages. Then you have to sort between what is old and what is new. This is a very basic fix and there is no reason for this.

SO no one has figured this out. It didn't used to do this. If the other person has their phone on it only rings the phone and not the computer even though they are logged in on the computer...It did use to do this, this only started happening about a month ago!
