Unable to install skype on Samsung GT-B7510 (Galaxy Pro)

Hi there,

I am trying to install skype on my samsung GT-B7510 (galaxy pro) phone, it is trying to install but then phone hangs and i see samsung screen(samsung logo). It takes few seconds to get normal, but then i dont see skype in package directory. Behaviour is same if i try to download and install again. It is Android 2.2 phone with following version:

android version: 2.2.2

build number: Froyo.DDKC4

Total RAM: 279 MB (Generally occupied upto 170 MB)

Storage space: 181 MB (internal) + 2GB through micro SD

Please let me know how much RAM skype consumes or if other lighter version available just for skype-skype normal calls (no video calls)?
