Skype says I must enter a country code

I had to go through this too and the answer is to enter your phone number like this:

+011 1(area code)(phone number) So making up a fictional number it would look like this:

+011 15631234567  That's all there is to it people. I hope this was helpful.

Sorry but the Country Code for the United States is actually 011. Just trying to be helpful not witchy.

The best way is to do it like this. Our country code for the U.S. is 011 so here's an example:

+011 1(area code)(phone number) A fictional number would look like this and yes you do have to use the "plus sign" and put a space between the country code & the number 1 of your phone number. +011 12345678910 This is how it worked for me so I hope it does for you too!!

Just type in 1 then ur #. no area code needed.

I think you must dial 001 before the number you are dialing w/out any spaces or dashes. I find it a hassle!

the USA code is 001 , then your area code, then your number.. hope this helps

I appreciate your help, justjoy1221, but this method does not work on my phone. Does anyone else have any suggestions? I've tried everything in this thread to no avail. I purchased a one-year subscription for Skype a few days ago, and I haven't been able to get it to work at all. I am sooooo disappointed.

I was also having a hard time but finally figured it out do it this way... Put + then 1 then the phone number . Example +18181234567 it worked for me.

I have tried:

Where 540 is the area code, 1234567 is the numer and the product is frustration.

I have also attempted all these permutations without the "+" sign.
