I also love the Tab; but I got it mainly for Skyping using video What a pest? The one main thing I wanted (it was advertised as a video tablet). I can't get it to work. Samsung say use the "Setting" menu, WHAT BLOODY SETTING menu on the tablet? @#@$#@@##$!
PS Fore those who have not tried the camera yet, have a go at the Panorama setting, totally brilliant, no wonder Apple have tried to stop it!
As for it "looking like the ipad" nah, it's totally better

I also have a 10.1 Sammy Tab, and honestly it rocks, if you are tired of waiting on Skype ( I know I do) use OOVOO it rocks and it is far better.
Pull the Web copy or clean up your act Skype.

The reason for that is that Skype video calling does work on the Galaxy Tab 7", but un fortunately not on the 10.1" version yet. The 10.1" version has a newer version of the Android OS and they are still in development for the new OS. For now its audio only, I am sure they will release a new skype version with video calling support soon as the 10.1 and iPad 2 are currently the world’s top selling tablets and to not do so would put the Skype hype in a bad light.
Just a pity the developers have not posted any progress reports regarding the new build. One would think that the forum admins would keep in contact regarding this type of large issue.
Best thing to do is click the support button on the main site menu, then search for "complaints", click on the "Get more help" link at the bottom of the related links menu on the right hand side of your screen. Then login and click the email support button.
Select calling and then video calling, then scroll down to bottom of the page and click the continue support request button. On the next page fill in your details, make a huge complaint about not getting any support responses in the support forum and if they get plenty of complaint emails through this process regarding this issue they will have no choice but to reply here and give you all an updated response.
I am one of the unfortunate people who bought Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 thinking Skype supported it with video calling. Please do us a favor, your paying subscribers and Skype users owning Tab 10.1, make it happen. You've already white-listed it on T-Mobile, what about the rest of us on other networks around the globe? I'm using Telia in Denmark, here it's a very popular tablet you can't almost have one without pre -ordering it. They're selling like pancakes! Hope you realize how many we are in this predicament.
I just tried it out and it also works on the non t-mobile version. It is just not activated by default.
So assuming you have the 10.1 tab and the last version of skype here is what you do.
-press the back button till you get to the skype home screen
-use the android settings button on the bottom of the screen (the one with the lines)
-scroll down and activate video calls
-confirm when it asks you if you wanna do that on a non certified device.
That should do the trick
