Hi,

I have a Samsung i9003l with android 2.3.6. I will check which version of Skype I´m using now.

This last version of Skype, fix the video issue for Samsung i9003l ?

Thanks in advance.

I agree it's very slow... doing a lookup from the address book is unusable.

Re: Skype 2.8 for Android released, use this post for feedback

I could not call out when signed into Skype using my Samsung Galaxy S2 yesterday when in Buffalo. I have a Rogers, Canadian mobile plan. Roaming and data were turned off. WiFi was working and tested via browser. I had my Acer Tab w/ me, w/o any mobile, only WiFi, which worked properly so I was able to make the Skype Out call. I have the North American Skype plan. I had two short rings followed by a pause, then two short rings again, etc. I posted this in another thread but wonder if there is an issue w/ either the SGS2 and/or Rogers.

I updated Skype on my ATT Atrix running Android 2.3.6 ... You guys ruined skype on my phone.  previous versions were working perfectly, chat, video.  Now it takes forever to load just my skype contacts and recent chats.  What a miserable job.

I think they will never be fired. I think that Microsoft needs dumb android team at Skype. And google's android will never get a normal Skype version.

Downgrading to 2.7

[ Edited ]

Here you find the good old 2.7: dl.apktops.com/app/201202/Skype_2.7.0.907.apk

Works fine for me. You have to allow installation of non-market applications first (somewhere in the phone settings), but that doesn't hurt anyone.

Motorola RAZR MAXX

Verizon

Android 2.3.6

Skype 2.8.0.920

The problem: Skype exits when screen locks even 'Go offline' is set to 'Never'.  IIRC, I could keep previous versions of Skype running background even after screen got locked.

I'm a paid user (Unlimited World annual subscriber with Online number). This issue is significantly incovenient for me as I have to keep re-loging Skype everytime screen gets locked.
