Dan200sx:
Similar video, or lack of video results as others on the Asus Transformer T101 16GB with the latest version of Skype from the Android MarketPlace.
Using WiFi: //Note that the same WiFi works fine for a Skype with video on a Ubuntu powered laptop with a Microsoft auto-focus web camera attached using the same Skype account credentials and settings. This laptop was turned off for the Transformer test noted below.
On the Asus Transformer T101 16GB fresh out of the box ($350 from B&H):
Turned on tablet, went through answering the first-boot configuration prompts of the tablet.
Installed updates from Marketplace.
Rebooted tablet.
Installed Skype from Marketplace.
Opened Skype.
Skype opens and logs in just fine.
Skype set to allow video from all (also tried the other setting of 'contacts only'), same symptoms.
Initiating a Skype video call immediately results in a completely black window where the in-bound video should be from the other participant. Other end of the Skype call reports no incoming video. Audio continues to work fine during the 'video' call. Toggling from the front camera to the rear camera during the call causes the video window to flicker briefly on both sides of the video call as if it was trying to reestablish the video connection however, the black screen resumes where the video feed should be displayed. I did notice that during the call, a message box appeared on a number of occasions saying that "Skype was logged in or logging in" well after I had clearly logged into the app. Toggling the front and rear camera via the button in Skype seemed to increase the frequency of the odd 'logging into skype message". I've since uninstalled the current Marketplace version of Skype in hopes of finding or trying a 2.5 version of Skype to prove the video capability. Hopefully the detail here helps as the video symptoms seem to be consistent enough across a number of hardware platforms to support a theory that the issue is more software related and not necessarily the fault of the diversity in android hardware. Happy to assist in any capacity to see this video issue resolved.

**bleep** You Dan: You only misguide people. Everyone knows the new version of Skype does not work for androids. But still you ask people to go and load old version of Skype from Amazon and it requires first registering with amazon, then to download amazonappstore on mobile and still............it **bleep**ing does not have the old version!

@JohninLA - has the other side accepted the file transfer? The file will only start sending once they have accepted.
