Samsung Galaxy S - Front Camera Orientation problem

Hi!

I have a SAMSUNG Galaxy S (European i9000) with stock Android 2.3.3 ROM (not Rooted).

I was really happy when Skype finnaly announced that Video Calls was enabled on my phone, but as it turned out, it is more or less useless.

The problem is that the front camera orientation is 90 degress off.

Tango seems to be having the same problem. link: goo.gl/Cm3An

If I hold the camera in landscape orientation, I can see the person I talk to in correct orientation, but the other person sees me turned 90 degrees sideways.

When doing a "normal" 3G video call (in Samsung's phone app), the orientation is correct.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Does Skype know about it?

I have the same issue on Samsung Galaxy S GT I-9000 on android 2.3. It will be nice if we will get an bug fix soon.

OK, I HAVE A FIX FOR THE BACK CAMERA PROBLEM....CARRY AROUND A MIRROR AND HOLD IT BEHIND THE PHONE.  THIS WAY THE PHONE USER STILL SEES WHO THEY ARE TALKING TO AND THE PERSON ON THE OTHER SIDE SEES THE PHONE USER THROUGH THE MIRROR.  DO YOU THINK SKYPE WILL SUPPLY US PHONE USERS WITH MIRRORS?

IF YOU HAVE A BETTER SOLUTION, POST IT....

ONLY 1 PROBLEM...IMAGES WILL BE REVERSED...MAYBE THEY WILL COME OUT WITH A PROGRAM TO SWITCH IMAGES BACK TO NORMAL. I WOULD HATE FOR SOMEONE NOT TO BE ABLE TO READ WHAT MY SHIRT AND/OR HAT SAYS!

my problem is that skype alway
s breaks down (raider has been stopped) before i can logg me in to skype. any solution for that¿

Dear Programmers!

I'm making video calls with my Samsung Galaxy S / Froyo 2.2.1. Couldn't it be done to make video calls while holding the phone vertically? Holding the phone horizontally is a bit uncomfortable.
