Ring Tone Not Working!

I updated to Skype Android V 2.0.0.47 yesterday. What happened to the ring tone selection settings?

I had a custom ring tone assigned to the previous version so i could tell by the ring what service was receiving a call. Now upon testing my newly updated Skype instalation i don't hear anything when the phone has an incoming call. About all i can do with this new version is enable vibrate mode. Why remove the ring tone selection setting??

Also i see the little icon on top of the phone is circling indicating a reconnect, but the phone is already connected as far as i could tell.

I am having a similar problem.  I have a "phone number" on Skype...but it has no ring tone.  I've checked settings, set the tone, checked it, but still does not ring.  Someone calls me and is suddenly talking into my computer and can hear everything I am doing, but I don't know they are there!  It invades privacy to say the least.  Have not been able to find solution.  Pls advise if you find one.  Thanks.

I am having the same problem. And I checked my settings and they all look okay. If you have the answer to why I'm having this problem please let me know. I have no ring tone trying to call out or when someone is calling into me.

I have no ring tone when ringing or receving a call.

Same here - no ring, although the device buzzes, vibrates and the skype screen shows up. Also, when the call ends (because I don't hear it and the other person hangs up), the skype makes the usual end-of-call sound. (That's when I usually notice that I missed the call).

I'm using a Samsung Tab 10.1 with Android 3.2 and latest version of skype at the time of posting this message. I have not found a menu option to specify a custom ring or to change the current 'silent ring'.

Linked is a video (hope it works): Although you mostly just hear my voice saying that you cannot hear a ring. If the background sounds were louder and clearer, you could hear the buzzing and the hang up ding.

update: the ring tone started working a few days ago (i.e. audible for the first time in months). maybe the last update fixed it or for whatever reason rings properly now in any case.

When someone is calling my skype address.  There is no sound, so if I am not looking at my screen, I am unaware that someone is calling.  All other sounds are working except the skype ring tone. blg4
