No "send sms" button on HTC Desire HD running Gingerbread 2.3.5

HTC Desire HD Android 2.3.5 Skype v 2.6.0.05

if you create an sms message the button to the left of the text input box doesn't work. It shows a handset with a down arrow but does nothing when pressed - I assume it is supposed to toggle to a "send" button??

As it stands it's now impossible to send an sms message in Skype on a 2.3.5 HTC Desire.

Have updated from 2.3.3 to 3.5 recently so suspect a clash between new version of Skype and new install of Android on Desire HD

I have the same problem. Want to send sms with my Desire, but the send button to the left of the message is not working.

Use the enter button, on your phone, or virtual keypad.

Really quite simple solution (if you know it!) Never thought about that. It works.

skype does not allow SMS messages, only skype messages.

the bubble/button to the left of the text input box is greyed out - it typically toggles between IM and SMS modes...

I couldn't find anyone else mentioning this issue- but will keep looking. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@sp8 i am not able to send reply to my skype contacts from htc desire.. even from virtual keyboard...how i can snd it ?
