New version quirks on X10 Mini Pro (Android 2.1)

As you might guess, I have the same problem as everyone else, the people cannot hear me and the mic goes MUTE.

It's been 2 weeks already and I spent lots of money so far.

When are you guys gonna fix it?

Am I going to get a compensation for the failing calling attempts I had? Being calling abroad and costs quite much.

Please fix it ASAP

I have a HTC WILDFIRE (ANDROID ) Skype is not working. Everything seems fine but when you ring someone they don't here you, and you don't here them.

It´s anything I can do about it?

Same problem here.  Xperia X10.  Since upgrade to Skype for Android V 2.0.0.47 the microphone is permanently muted and cannot be unmuted.  Same with headset or Bluetooth.

Can someone tell me how to roll back to Version 1.xxxxx please

I wrote an instruction on how to install the old version. Unfortunately, links don't work in this forum, so I can't link directly, but search for "How to install old version that works on X10 Mini Pro" and you'll find it.

After a lot of net searching (i'm not a techie) here's how i managed to get the old version and sort this thing out - i think the microphone issue is across all android 2.1 phones cos i have a motorola xt5 and i had the same issue as you.

first uninstall the new version of skype you currently have on your phone

then go to (fantastic, the website is not permitted in this community): well, go to the freewarelovers website and do a search on the site for skype. at the bottom of the skype page click on skype v1.0.0.984

once you have saved it to your desktop, you need to transfer it to your mobile. now ironically i'm overseas and my phone - mobile cable is at home so after bluetooth didn't work, I ended up using dropbox to transfer the file from my computer to mobile. if you're not familiar with dropbox, go to dropbox.com, register and download it to your pc. then go to android marketplace on your phone and download it to your phone. then all you need to do is drag and drop the file on your pc into your drop box folder on your pc. then open the drop box folder on your phone, click on the file and that downloads it to your phone. and then FINALLY you'll having a working microphone and the old version of skype.

can i just say that it took me two days of trawling through forums to find this out and i'm quite disappointed that despite the number of android 2.1 users that have complained about this mike problem, there has been no attempt by skype to make the old version accessible to us while (hopefully) they actually attempt to fix this issue.

Hy i have installed the 2.5 version on my xperia X8 and it doesn't work. I cannot answer or make a call. I've downloaded the 2.1 version and installed. It works fine. I hope there will be a new skype version.
