Motorola Atrix - others can't hear me

Motorola Atrix MB860. Android 2.2.1 on Bell

Skype 2.5.0.160

Can make calls, 

Can hear other person.

Other person can see video of me (if on)

But, They can't hear me.

They hear garbled, un understandable noise and static.

Pressing the mute button has no effect.

Tried phone, hands free and wired headset - none work.

Same problem here.  Got fixed when I updated to 2.6.

Worked for months until today.  Now a red line appears through the microphone icon and people can't hear me.  No way to re-enable the microphone discovered so far.
