Issues with the Skype App on Samsung Galaxy Note

Hello all,

I am using the Skype app from the Android Market and facing the following two issues :

1) The video of the person at the other end does not go into the full screen mode always.

It is intermittent and would go full screen sometimes by itself. At other times , it does not.

2) When earphones are connected to the phone and I receive or make a call on Skype , the call goes on the phone speaker and not on the earphone. I have to take out the earphone jack and replugin for Skype to pick up the call on the earphone

3) My own video box goes blank at times even though the other person can see my video.

I have to switch off the video and turn it back on to see my own video.

I have checked with another person using Skype on Galaxy Note and she is facing the same issues.

Are all users facing these bugs? Any idea of a patch fix for this?

I have contacted Skype support for these issues but they were not able to resolve these and have taken the issues to their development teams. There is no definite timeline for resolution. 

Meanwhile , can other Galaxy Note users confirm if they are facing these issues?

I am using the galaxy tab, when I make video calls I can see the person I call but my video is black even though my video is turned on.

Hello - That is issue no 3 then in the list above.

When I try to perform a video call, my video won't work.  I can see the other person, but Skype automatically puts a red x over my video button.  When I try to select a camera option, it tries to turn it on, but then goes back to the x again.

I have exactly the same problems with my Samsung Galaxy Note...

same problem galaxy note , android 2.3.6, strange behavior during video calls. No auto rotate support, full screen hang up video, or black screen, problems with switching windows. Videocall, starts not horizontal, but vertical.

Same issues 1, and 2 with Galaxy Tab 8.9 Android 3.1.

I am also using SGN on GB2.3.6. Facing the problem with item 1 and 3. I don't use wired but always on speakerphone but would love if Skype can have option to boost the volume.

Version 2.8.0.920 seems to have fixed issue 1 and 3. Great
