Galaxy Player 70 Plus - Earpiece audio output does not function.

Device Maker: Samsung
Device Name: Galaxy Player 70 Plus
Device Model: YP-GB70D
Android OS version: 2.3.6
Skype client version installed: 2.8.0.920
I can not switch to earpiece audio output during a call, it will only output to the speakers.

If I plug in a headset, I can switch to headset and it works as expected. But when using just the device itself (without a headset) and switching from speaker to earpiece, the icon changes and displays the earpiece output is selected, but the audio is still output to the speakers.

I tested this many times on many different calls, many of which were to the skype test call service, the behavior was always the same. No matter what I try it will not switch audio output to the earpiece.

This device is being promoted strongly in Korea as the ultimate PMP and VOIP device, but without skype supporting it properly and an ability to use the earpiece output during calls, it falls short of it's expected performance. It is my hope that by posting this a resolution can be found by the fine folks on the skype android development team and that I can look forward to this functionality working correctly in an upcoming update.

Re: Galaxy Player 70 Plus - Earpiece audio output does not function.

I'm having the exact same problem with my Galaxy Player 5.0 (YP-G70, Firmware version 2.3.5) here in the US. I hope to get a fix for this soon.
