Front facing camera upside down video Samsung Galaxy S

Using latest version of skype. Front facing video displays upside down, anyone video chatting with me, will see me upside down. Phone is Samsung Galaxy S, Android (froyo build).

How do I fix this?

I have a Samsung Infuse, and the same thing is happening to me.  It started out perfectly, but the other day, the video chat started displaying everything upside down.  It really sucks.  How do I fix this, thanks

I have a Samsung Galaxy S wifi 5.0 (YP-G70)

Android OS firmware version 2.2.2

Skype version 2.6.0.95

Newest skype update did the same thing to me.

Video is upside down and flipped.

How do I revert back to the last version?

It was working fine for me.

Thanks in advance,

True it was working for me just a few days ago. This is terribly bothersome.

Re: Front facing camera upside down video Samsung Galaxy S

Thanks for the link. I tried it and it fixed it for me. I guess I'll stick with 2.5 for now until skype people sort this out.

They really need to allow more camera options or use the phone sensors to figure out positioning (or both)

Did you have any luck? I just installed skype in my new Galaxy Player 5 and had the same problem.

Just got this reply from Skype support chat line.

"We are currently aware of this issue and this issue has been forwarded to our development team to fix this as soon as possible. However, we cannot provide an exact timeframe when will the new version will be released while it might not be available now, it could be in the near future. Watch out for announcements on the Skype website."

The link that drinkpisco provided worked for me. I have a Samsung Infuse 4G that had the same inverted camera problem. Rolling back to the older version didn't have any issues as far as I could initially tell from testing it. Thanks so much for the link drinkpisco!

Whatever you do, don't uninstall and then try to reinstall the latest version.  It causes an error and crashes and I can no longer install Skype on my phone.  Boo!  Hating android and skype.
