Do I need an online number when using Skype mobile to make and receive calls internationally?

Greetings and HELP!

I just subscribed to an international unlimited plan a couple weeks ago through the Evil Empire(Verizon). I thought once I did that I should be all set with Skype-to-Skype and what not. It turns out that when I make and receive calls using Skype, my Verizon Anytime Minutes are being used and as such I'm in big trouble with overages.

The folks at Verizon said that I would need to get an online Skype number so I don't get charged anymore. Is this true? I thought Skype-to-Skype was free!!?!

Using Skype to make calls to another Skype contact is totally free. Please check this link for instructions on how to make Skype to Skype call:

However, it is free, you might get charged by Verizon for Internet usage.

Making Skype calls to mobiles or landlines needs Skype credit. Please check this:

On the other hand, Online number is a totally different thing. Online number is a feature of Skype that allows you to receive (only receive) calls from landlines and mobiles to your Skype account, so it has nothing to do with making calls, just receiving.
