There are several problems with the bluetooth headset and skype on the android devices.
1) you cannot answer the call from the bluetooth answer button
2) skype crashes when bluetooth is stoped
3) no sound from microphone signal (sound cease to be captured after 1 sec of call)
4) when calling someone, I can hear the calling sound but the headset switch is disabled while call is not yet connected (you can not go on earpiece for example)

I was going to get a phone number with skype, but not until this is fixed. It's a waste of money currently.

I meant to comment on buchog:
#1 exiting skype on task manager
#2 plug the headset/mic in the jack (to trick skype that is is using the headset)
#3 now make a skype call ( you can unplug the headset once you see it ringing under headset *icon headset and it should not show that your skype call is on bluetooth mode, it should be on earpiece *icon once headset is unplug )
this workaround is fiddly but does work.

No microphone with my brand new Plantronics M50... can hear but not speak.
It's unbelievable how a billion dollar company cannot or will not solve the most simple/basic problems.

I just got myself a Sony Tablet S and was looking forward to being able to working in my darkroom whilst chatting to a friend over my wifi network. My Bluetooth headset paired up with the tablet just fine, but the same as others, no audio from it's mic in a call, and having to manually switch to the headset after the call has connected to get audio. Haven't yet been able to test if I can pick up the call with a headset, which would be very useful in darkroom situations.
Is there no way to add settings, such as in the pc version, to be able to choose your audio and mic devices so that it defaults to those instead of hoping for fiddley auto solutions working on android?
