I use skype on computer and on advanced call tools there is an option for automaticaly pick up calls and enable video. But on my android i dont see that option, i saw some posts of ppl complaining their skype on android was picking up the call automatically and they wanna fix it... acctually i want the other way around.. i want my mobile to pick calls and enable video even when i am not there... is that possible? If it is can someone explain me how?
Atm i am using the latest version on both computer and mobile if anyone would help me i would apreciate it.

I recommend to download the latest Skype and search first.
To get the most out of Skype I recommend Skype Premium.

I don't know GwaN's need for automatic answers but since the function exists in the "full" version of Skype (since quite some time now) people at the company must have thought it usefuls.
Personally I have family members who find it difficult some times to deal with the touch screen on my phone and an automatic pick-up of the call would be appreciated.
But, disabled people are of course never in the spot-light of developers... ![]()
An automatic answer would also be nice when I use the Android tablet to recievie video calls but are busy otherwise working at the office or in the garage.

You need this feature so you can position your phone anywhere, like your home, and call it from another phone and see what is on the other end. Exactly the same reason you need this feature on a Windows based OS. I would have thought this is obvious even to the most simple minded!

I have use case that requirs auto answer/pick up. I have a robot in a remote office. I want to use and htc Android phone for Skype. This allows me to litterally walk around the remote office. However, it won't work if I have to have someone on the other end click on the face/Android of the robot to open the call and start the process.

I will give you the use case: my dad turns 88 and mum 83 in October and for them it's very difficult to be able to react to that little popup in the lower right corner, grab the mouse and hit the right spot - if they are present at the computer at all! Now for them I have PCs running 24x7 and it works like a charm.
For my three year-old triplet boys I specifically bought a 10" Android pad to run Skype with auto answering. I commute between Sweden and Switzerland and want to stay in touch. Now the pad is just collecting dust since there is no auto-answer function on the Android Skype. I took for granted it will be supported.
Please, please, correct this!
