The Asus Transformer TF101 is a supported device for Skype, being able to make Skype audio and video calls.

You can obtain Skype from the Android market (Google Play Store).

Re: Android OS. Can I use Skype

Please post a screenshot of what you see / where Skype is grayed out.

Head to Settings -> Asus Customised Settings -> Screenshot (Tick).

Press and hold the recent apps apps key to take a screenshit.

They are saved in the tablet's gallery.

Re: Android OS. Can I use Skype

petzkin, I have taken a screenshot now where can I attach the screenshot to. Also I am sick of re-signing in after every attempt to send you a reply..
Now, here is the up-date of my trobles. Firstly, I have un=used credit & skype is advising me that I have 6 days left to make a call before I lose my credit. So, with that warning hanging over my head,I have tried to make a call. But.. you guessed it, I can't make that call. I would also like to be able to use the Instant Messaging service, but that option is also not available to me. More help needed.

When you reply to these forum posts, in the reply window you should see the rich text editor toolbar. There is an image insertion button, with this you can add the screenshot here.

Another version is to upload the picture to places like www.uploaded.to which are file hosting sites, just remember to post the link to the given file here as well.

Please also make sure that your status is set to Online, as this may explain the calls and IM functions not working.

petzkin,

It's like trying to finf "where's Wally"  I wish I had someone with me to point to the different icons.

Anyway, one we go.

What does the "image insertion" button look like?

Re: Android OS. Can I use Skype

petzkin,

I can now find the screen-shot, the "recent apps key" & I can attach a screenshot.

My biggest concern is that I cannot make a call.  Just to confirm, I am logged on.  So, I cannot understand why I cannot make a call.

Another trouble.  I received a message in my e-mail box advising that I have been upgraded to "occasional visitor"  What does this mean in terms of where I go to ask a question

Re: Android OS. Can I use Skype

Hi

Please upload the screenshots here http://www.postimage.org/ it should be easier then the community button.

Also, please make a screenshot of the person you are trying to call, so I can see what is wrong in the image.

As for the occasional visitor, this get's changed depending o the forum posts you make here, nothing will change for you.

Re: Android OS. Can I use Skype

petzkin,

You have been very helpful so far so thanks.

No, whin I go to the app icon on mtty screen, I get the options of make a call" "recent calls" and two others.

I would like to know how do I add a contact to my list.  I have located the "people" icon which was pre-installed on mt ASUS. So that's all good.
