Is my tablet underpowered for Skype? "Skype Has Stopped Working" Cannot Sign IN

I have a 4.3" Elsse tablet with Android 2.1 and 600 MHZ processor but when I try to sign in I get the message "Skype has stopped working. Would you like to sign in again or exit Skype" Tabs - Sign In Exit

I just installed newest Skype version from Market to replace an older Beta Version 0.x
