The well known bluetooth headset problem. Simply doesn't work.
Steps:
1. Turn off bluetooth and headset.
2. Login to skype
3. Turn on bluetooth on the tablet
4. Turn on the headset.
5. Pair the tablet and the headset.
6. Try the sound test.

Expectations: I want to hear the ringing, the talking through the headset, and should be able to talk with the headset mic.
What happens: I can hear the ringing on the headset and on the tablet too. The test service answering the call, but i hear it on each devices for one second, and then just on the speaker. In that one second, the are two diffent voice: a "Hello..." greeting on the headset and a "welcome" greeting on the speakers. After the "hello" i cant hear wnything in the headset, and the mic isn't working.

I've payed for skype so I really want you to fix this. I can't send more details about the problem, becouse I don't have any other information.
Please answer to me. Thanks!

Galaxy Sii with Plantronics M55

by sam_strange on ‎05-01-2013 02:56

Using the Galaxy S ii and the Plantronics M55 initially the dial tone is heard through the headset, but then phone mic and speaker are used for the call. Haven't found a way to get a skype call through the headset. Every other sound and all audio from the phone and other apps come through the headset.

Bluetooth audio fails as soon as called party answers. After call ends, Bluetooth audio resumes.

Is anyone still reading this thread? Looks like it's been moved to the "internal graveyard", but the feedback instructions still point me here.

No solutions yet. Anyone have an idea what I can do?

I have a Samsung Galaxy s2 running Android ICS 4.0.3

And Skype 2.8.0.920

I have tested several headsets(jawbone,Nokia,Sony) all work fine with regular calls but none work with Skype.

I pair the headset, make a regular call to check the headset.

If the headset works fine I start Skype and make a call again.

I never get any audio through the Bluetooth headset.

I have tried restarting the phone and pairing Bluetooth before starting Skype on several occasions and find no difference.

NB. I WAS ABLE TO USE SKYPE AND MY JAWBONE HEADSET A FEW MONTHS AGO WITHOUT ISSUES. Since then I updated android to ICS and the Skype updated at some point.

Audio: Working

Microphone: Not working, phone's microphone is used.

Device: HTC Desire Z, Android 2.3

I'm able to pair them successfully and it rings through my BT headset.  There's where it ends.  When calls get connected, it answers through the phone than the headset.  It was working perfectly before the update on Andriod.  Please make it work again.

Thanks.

The bluetooth for skype on android and ios can be made to work if it is possible for skype developers to create a SIP profile for every user. Then users can add this SIP profile in the built in SIP caller in every android and ios native dialer. once you do this whenever you make a call it will ask you whether you want to make call through sim or internet call. you select internet call and then call connects through skype. The bluetooth can be used normally as you would do for a normal call using ur sim since you are still using the native dialer and all native dialers supports bluetooth without any issues.

For Skype developers it should not be any problem to do this as they already have this feature in Skype connect for business. Only they have to extend this for free users and control the use wih subscriptions or credit for mobile or landline calls and free for skype-skype calls.

Hope yo hear from you guys soon.

Bluetooth device HM1100 has connectivity issues over skype. Device is paired successfully with Galaxy note 2 but Skype looses connection with the bluetooth device.

Is this thread still recognized?

Skype for Android still does not work with many headsets. There are some "bluetooth manager" apps out there but none of them helps.

My hardware configuration:

Captiva Pad 10 with Android 4.1, Headset is a Samsung HM1700.

All audio from the tablet is routed to the headset (system beeps, radio etc.). But as soon as I try to make a call through Skype, the tablet's microphone and speaker are used instead of the headset.

As soon as Skype is stopped, the audio returns to the headset. Please fix this after that long time. Other VoIP programs also work with bluetooth headsets in android so why not Skype?

Q7 bluetooth

by asphaltsally on ‎23-02-2013 13:58
My Nexus 4 works great with Skype but my new Q7 bluetooth device is not recognized in Skype. I believe Skype should develop support for this device because it appears to be a very popular device, new on the market. It is the smallest, lightest, most comfortable device I've ever tried and a lot of the websites selling it are sold out.

The Samsung HM3300 bluethooth headset is not recognized by skype, although it works fine with other applications in the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.  It rings in the headset but switches back to the phone speaker once the connection is established.  Help!

Samsung Galaxy S3 Jawbone Era

by GYB on ‎18-02-2013 08:41

I have GS3 paired to a Jawbone Era.  Works fine on calls and other apps.  When making a call with Skype, I hear the ringing tone, but as soon as the call connects the sound switches to the phone's speaker.

Bt Headset problem

by tobithetob001 on ‎16-02-2013 15:19
Galaxy s3 mini and nexus 7 does not work with nokia bt-112

my SGS3 is not connecting properly to LG Tone HBS-700 using skype. i can hear the ringing then it defaults to the phone speaker and mic.

Since upgrading to version 3.0.0.6181 on my Nexus 7 I have been experiencing loud and intermittent, yet frequent, screeching/static with my Plantronics M50 Bluetooth ear piece. This issue does not exist in the previous Skype version, 2.9.501.31, nor does this earpiece suffer from any audio issues in other applications such as music players and games.

Nexus 7: Android 4.2, stock ROM

Galaxy S2: Android 4.04, Calkulin's E4GT 2 ROM

The Galaxy S2 does fine with the M50 and either of the app versions. The Nexus 7 displays this issue only on version 3.0.0.6181. I was able to downgrade the Skype version on the Nexus 7 to 2.9.501.31 as it is still available via the Amazon Appstore for Android (a lucky break for me!), and it is working fine for now.

(Cleanly uninstalling and reinstalling version 3.0.0.6181 on the Nexus 7 makes no impact, and neither does re-pairing the M50.)

Audio through Bluetooth Headphones: OK

On the Microphone front instead, the mic of phone is picked up, not the one of the headset.

Both Phone audio and Media audio profiles are set and selected in Android Bluetooth Settings.

Bluetooth spsaker with Galaxy s3

by Nevc on ‎18-09-2012 16:28
I bought a very nice bluetooth speaker to use with my Samsung Galaxy s3, and thought I could use it when chatting on Skype. The ring tone comes through the speaker OK, but when the called party answers his voice comes through the tiny speaker on the s3. Any suggestions? The speaker is a DOSS DS-1121,which I am very happy with, except for this problem. I solved it temporarily by plugging in a lead from the headphone jack to the speaker.
